What is Acupuncture?
Acupuncture is an ancient healing tradition
Acupuncture originated in China over 3,000 years ago by masters of Asian medicine. The body was considered to have an elaborate and beautiful network of energetic pathways that could be altered to restore and maintain optimal health. It was said that the Qi (functional energetic level) in a healthy state "courses ceaselessly and continuously" through 14 non-material pathways in the body. These pathways can be likened to streams in an ocean. Smooth on-going Qi movement is present in a healthy body and mind. The insertion of sterile hair-thin needles can redirect the Qi helping the body to self adjust. The body is therefore eased and nudged toward a balanced, healthier state. The marvel is the great potential for improvement that lies in the skillful selection and insertion of point combinations.
Acupuncture is Green! It is non-toxic, has no harmful side effects and leaves no carbon footprint.

As part of the energetic conversation...
As part of the energetic conversation and to facilitate the acupuncture process, Rosanne utilizes both qigong taught to her in China, and the harmonization of one’s body frequency learned in Brazil, together with her self development gained from years of practice. Thus from above the body surface she engages energy that gently steams up from the inserted needles as if they were little lightning rods.
A soothing warmth is readily felt and people often comment that this was their favorite part of the session.
